The Impact Tour

An immersion experience.
You won't just hear about the work —
you'll walk through it the way our guests do,
from the front door to a bed for the night.

It all starts with relationships.

An Immersion Tour

Understanding begins by stepping inside.

Most tours, you look at a room while someone talks. This one is different. From the moment you arrive, you move through the same steps a guest takes on their first night — you check in, you sign, you set down everything you carry, you are handed a bed. What you feel in that hour is the closest most of us will ever come to understanding what it takes to survive a Montana winter without a home.

The Experience

A tour in three parts

Each part moves you further into a guest's night — arrive, settle, and finally rest.

1
Act One

Arrival & Intake

You go through enrollment yourself: check in at the door, sign the occupancy agreement, lock away your belongings, and receive a bed number and a bed box. Then everything but a phone and headphones goes into the locker.

What you'll feelSetting down everything you own in a single locker — and keeping only a phone — is the moment the experience becomes real.
2
Act Two

The Bunkroom

You walk the room where guests sleep, guided stop by stop through the people and realities behind the numbers — who we shelter, who we protect, where the system works, and where it runs out of road.

What you'll feelYou meet our guests through their real stories — not statistics, but people with names, told in the room where they slept.
3
The Close

Settle In

The tour ends the way a guest's first night does — not with a speech, but with a small act of ownership. You go to the bed you were assigned at intake, and you make it.

What you'll feelMaking up a bed that's yours for the night is the quietest, most human moment of the tour. It stays with you.
What to Expect

Come as you are

The tour is hands-on by design. You are invited to take part in each step, and you are always free to step back from anything that isn't for you.

Why It Matters

The stakes are real, and they are local.

For someone with nowhere to go, a Montana winter is not uncomfortable — it is dangerous. A bed inside is the difference between a warm, safe night and the cold. The tour exists so our community can see that truth firsthand — and decide what to do about it.

Take the tour

Experience it yourself, or bring your team, board, church, or civic group. Understanding this work is the first step toward supporting it.

Stand with us

Everything here is made possible by the generosity of our community. When you've seen what a bed means, your support keeps the door open next winter.

It all starts with relationships.
