Our winter season begins Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. and runs through 10 a.m. on May 1, 2027.

Every shelter volunteer completes two steps before signing up for a shift. This keeps our guests and our team safe, and it means you'll feel ready before your first night.
Attend a Season Volunteer Orientation
Held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. See the schedule below.
Complete a background check
Contact Vicki, our Volunteer Coordinator, to get started.
Sign up for a shift
Once orientation and your background check are complete, you're ready to choose shifts on our schedule.
